This press conference is now degenerating into a shouting match. It's moments such as this that makes one suspect that the American legal system may have one or two minor flaws.

i think unfrozen floridian lawyer Uhrig's point is to reinforce the idea that a) zimmerman was getting his head knocked on the ground and b) that's life threatening even if it's not very forceful. b) is true enough but it's a) that he's really pushing

as an aside, 'shaken baby' has come under increasing medical and legal scrutiny recently. it's a popularized thing but probably not a 'syndrome', and people have been put away for murder when the evidence was veeery sketchy.

maybe they think "hoodie" means clothes worn in the "hood"

If I wrote an article with the phrase "blacking up" in it repeatedly, I'd sit back and put on my thinking face for a good long while before I sent it to my editor. Maybe I'd light my pipe and go "hmmmmmmmm."

If politicians and celebrities are wearing hoodies as a sign of solidarity, sure that comes across as cheap to me and it's on par with a bazillion other little eye-stabbing gestures made by people in the spotlight.

But that has nothing to do with this article which I thank god for, because I've already read it twice for the lols. It's so perfect, the author has to be a fictional character.
