Basically another branding of nostalgia. It's funny cos i read mentions of Seapunk somewhere but only just now realized when i was a kid in the late 80s/early 90s i went through a phase with my brothers were our clothes were like really neon colors and tropical themed and completely stupid. I didn't get the reference cos I just never thought that style was worth digging up. How wrong i was.

Sounds more or less like the 2012 equiv to the 2008 hipster jackass that wears headbands everywhere.

i wouldn't call the pictureplane cover seapunk, to me it seems pretty standard '11 net art style whereas seapunk is mostly met with eye rolls even within the net art community

I'm not asking for Bonnie Raitt's cover to be literal or anything, but what does "Slipstream" have to do with her walking up an industrial staircase?

I like that we are going for "noteworthy" rather than good or bad, because in most cases it's obvious. But for some of the ones Bee OK posted upthread I have no idea if they liked them or not.
