ex:el, though I haven't heard anything from the last two.

What are other records like ex:el?

I basically want something else like this that isn't this because I already have this

Are there any good MIXED mixes of acid house?

Blomqvist, Jesper (admrl), Tuesday, 3 April 2012 04:55 (1 year ago) Permalink

Yes. Get the Hardfloor X-Mix from the mid-90s especially.

But I don't think of either that or Warp Influences as sounding much like Ex:El, which is more difficult to place.

I want warm washes of synth that conjure images of futuristic dystopian cityscapes ringed by ramshackle settlements of free loving techno anarchists

I thought Newbuild would be the only tickable option.

I voted Ninety as it has the purest naive futuristic aesthetic ("welcome to techno citay!") - unsullied by self-conscious collaborations (with people I usually love). Utd State 90, with it's three versions of Pacific is even better.
