Hey man nice shot is totally acceptable and the remixes on the maxi-single (old man moment) are pretty awes, def the best fake swing industrial outside of course of empire. Also I am watching the twist of Cain video atm and Danzig is wearing martial arts gloves for no discern able reason, which is awesome.

and there is no sense in which "twist of cain" is better than "mother", except boogie, and that is a small sense

"what would you say" - once you get past the vocal delivery this isn't half bad.

This was the year that I worked in a record shop, so I got way, way, waaaaaayyyy overexposed to all of these records. Creep was the only one that didn't leave me traumatised by the experience.

But seriously, why aren't Feed The Tree and Cannonball on this album? Either of those tracks would smash Creep. (One of them literally.)

This thread is giving me incredible nostalgia for that Xmas Issue of Melody Maker that had, like, Kurt Cobain snogging (or at least pretending to) Kim Deal under the mistletoe while Courtney egged them on by slapping stickers on their faces, and on the inside, photos of Thom Yorke and Tanya Donelly duetting on mascara and hair bleach and it was the most 90s thing, and I wanted to live inside it forever, oh youth, where did you go?

it always confused me when they put pretty established bands in 'the buzz bin.' like, White Zombie had been platinum for a while before "More Human," Cranberries were multiplatinum before "Zombie"

bush released at least one other good song and it was called "swallowed"

regardless of how i feel about "swallowed" (great swampy barely-written un-song) i related to my coworker the very otm "everything zen" statement and he told me he spent st. patrick's day with friends rocking out to bush and jumping up and down, which angered the landlord. "it was the most caucasian thing in which i have taken part, i think"

'Swallowed' is probably like 'My Humps' in that it would probably work much better with the vocals extracted altogether.
