Back in February, Rihanna shocked the music world by letting her label talk into her recording two tracks with Chris Brown despite the fact he violently beat the shit out of her three years ago for simply looking at his phone and hasn’t shown a shred of remorse since. She even went so far to publicly defend working with him twice (Here and here.) and so in a sense she took him back professionally. (And possibly penis-in-vaginally.) Except here’s the part nobody could’ve seen coming because Chris Brown’s changed so much: He just released a new track – a remix of Kanye West’s Theraflu – where he essentially calls Rihanna a bitch and shits all over her. It’s completely out of character. Via Buzzfeed:

“Don’t fuck with my old bitch it’s like a bad fur
Every industry nigga done had her
Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her
Bitch is breaking codes, but I’m the password.”

Rihanna has since reacted by unfollowing him on Twitter (Oh noes!) before tweeting this to her followers:

Aw, poor dat #neaux1currrrr [Translation: "No one cares."]

And because he’s a little bitch Chris Brown also spouted off on Twitter before unfollowing Rihanna:

Assumptions! I didn’t say any names so if u took offense to it then its something you feel guilty about.

Of course, absolutely no one is going to feel sorry for Rihanna because A.) Let’s be honest, this is probably the nicest thing Chris Brown has ever done to her. And B.) How the fuck did she think this was going to end? Also, her life’s going pretty awesome considering she just had sex last month with Alexander Skarsgard in a Geisha house and technically isn’t even Rihanna anymore. For now she has become Chokladgudinnan av Analsex från Sexön who rides on the wings of a new, sexual Valhalla that most women will never experience. Unless they randomly jump out in front of Alexander Skarsgard at any given moment, then okay, probably.

in general i think people read way too much specificity into lyrics written by rappers

they haven't dated in two years -- assuming that chris brown has had a relationship since then, he could be talking about anyone -- those are very run of the mill rap lyrics

I was initially opposed to the industry returning his career to him on a silver platter, but now I think it's gonna be kinda fun to watch him slowly burn away all of that goodwill (provided no one else gets hurt, of course). Chris Brown is definitely his own worst enemy.
