I like how the Max-with-two-identical-stuffed-animals gag is becoming a runner this season (cubs, horses).

Man, you guys really make me want to like this show. Not sure I'm up to it though.

At first I thought I was overrating it due to Community withdrawal (they share producers, and a few writers). But now I think I'm digging it on its own terms, particularly the Wayans/Coupe juggernaut.

Actually thought the last episode was one of the weaker ones this season. I think you're just ILE-impressionable, or maybe we all develop our H.E. (or the Coupe/Wayans) love at different stages.

There were lolz when Wayans was being convinced that he rented Mamma Mia, but yeah, the scavenger hunt plotline didn't really produce the lolz.

oh, and Wayans playing the guilt card with his shrugging.

Oh, the scavenger hunt subplot kind of sucked but I liked the whole Kerkovich mindfuck thing. Was pretty into "Cocktails and Dreams" though.

idk, that was pretty awful and played out, but "the Kerkovich thing" saved the episode

this. Never found Hughes to be the least bit hat-tip worthy. This episode had its moments (as usual, those with Jane and Brad), but I found it kind of flat.

Casey Wilson's delivery on "My plates never grew together" was A+, though.

could even stomach alex quoting extensively from an 80s movie and all the jokes that were just weird voices cuz the whole thing was so smoothly put together and lulzsome

GREAT EPISODE! Also, the last bit with Brad and Jane walking through the lobby of their building in slow mo while "It Was a Good Day" played was pitch perfect.

for some reason the best lol was 'thats so janet' for me, idk if this was the greatest episode or anything but still so many good jokes

oh n/m best joke was 'i love that about me' maybe

also that synchro action from wayans and casey when coupe was doing her lie bit was pretty great

the landlord also recently played one half of a gay couple that was friends with Cam and Mitchell on Modern Family

kind of love that Max is the only person on TV who can really pull off that "ghost protes" line.

Loved Penny-as-a-child's "A-mah-zing."
