I've been busy arguing about Radiohead on the internet

HI DERE, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:22 (fifteen years ago) link

It's all my fault! I will update more often with exciting news about what is happening in my house. (So far: nothing)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:27 (fifteen years ago) link

None of you people are doing it yourself with light refreshment.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:29 (fifteen years ago) link

tehresa, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:30 (fifteen years ago) link

Today was Costillas and Albichuelas day in the new york office. So much better than our london office.

Ed, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:40 (fifteen years ago) link

Ed, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:40 (fifteen years ago) link

I am contemplating reading part of my med surg textook, since I have reading assignments now. I don't want to sit down and do it, though.

"Manservant Breaking: The Surgical Approach"

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 18:59 (fifteen years ago) link

I'm having a whole load of dental treatment at the moment (costing me a fortune - serves me right for not going for 6 years) part of which involves a ten - fourteen day whitening treatment.

Anyway, during this period I'm not allowed to eat or drink ANYTHING that isn't white or clear. I can handle the food side but no tea and no BEER??? AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:00 (fifteen years ago) link

What the heck can you eat, then? It sounds horrible!

Ned, I am loving your title.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:10 (fifteen years ago) link

but wait, that leaves gin, vodka, rum, and really good tequila!

HI DERE, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:13 (fifteen years ago) link

i was reassured by this thought as well. i think very dry white wine might qualify as well.

but what about the tea problem? where will i get my morning pick-me-up? am i going to have to start doing speed?

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:20 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah what about things like lettuce? are you on an all jicama diet?

tehresa, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:24 (fifteen years ago) link

Rutabaga and potato dinner?

At least you could put sour cream on top.

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:30 (fifteen years ago) link

not exactly clear...

lots of vermicelli?

tehresa, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:32 (fifteen years ago) link

Ravioli filled with cheese. Alfredo sauce on top. For dessert: creme brulee.

(Next stop: angioplasty!)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:35 (fifteen years ago) link

Flour straight from the bag!

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:41 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay, your offerings are probably better.

Upt0eleven, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 19:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Anyway, I command Sara to show this to her kids:

http://www.vancouver2010.com/mascot/en/meet.php

And to report their reactions. Is the target audience satisfied?

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 20:12 (fifteen years ago) link

grrrrr another site I can't get to. ISP person is allegedly coming to the house today to see if he can fix whatever the hell the problem is. FINALLY. (I'll believe it when I see it. And as soon as I can, I will look at the link and test market it with the kids)

Sara R-C, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 20:17 (fifteen years ago) link

RESULT: Kids hate goatse.cx as much as adults.

HI DERE, Tuesday, 19 August 2008 20:43 (fifteen years ago) link

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:04 (fifteen years ago) link

hey if that "wanted" movie with SUPER ASSASSIN ASSKICKING STUFF BLOWING UP WHATEVER in the trailer sucks, someone should warn me, because i am seeing it tonight after multiple flights at teh winebar across the street.

FAX ME, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:06 (fifteen years ago) link

lol i read as 'multiple fights' as though you had to get in the assassin zone or something.

tehresa, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:07 (fifteen years ago) link

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

FAX ME, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:08 (fifteen years ago) link

Suddenly I'm envisioning you as The Bride's new sidekick in Kill Bill, Volume 3

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:11 (fifteen years ago) link

I liked "Wanted" but I am supernoncritical of movies that feature:

- Angelina Jolie
- ludicrous action sequences
- lots and lots of exploding heads

It is also about a bazillion times better than the graphic novel/miniseries it's based on.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:11 (fifteen years ago) link

i watched it for free here: WANTEDED

it's kind of okay funny, but i have low standards when it comes to action movies. kinda ridic in some places, but fun times, imo.

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:14 (fifteen years ago) link

YAAAAAAAHHHHHH ok that is perfect. mostly we are just looking for airconditioned space, and its at the kickass cheap theater with the perfect popcorn for $1 tonight.

FAX ME, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:14 (fifteen years ago) link

I wonder if you will agree with me that this movie contains the best human shield sequence of the decade.

HI DERE, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:17 (fifteen years ago) link

the plot twist was pretty good, but then again, i am always easily surprised by plot twists (eg. 'the village')

Rubyredd, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:18 (fifteen years ago) link

Well, cheap + air conditioning = I wouldn't care how bad it was.

I've been thinking about you guys without air conditioning the past couple of weeks.

Sara R-C, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:18 (fifteen years ago) link

my summer improved 10fold with the addition of a/c in my room.

tehresa, Wednesday, 20 August 2008 18:19 (fifteen years ago) link
