For me, either Monsanto's Imagine, New Order Enron, or D.I. Go Circle K. Probably the latter.

Ian, I was asking about the ones you personally did yourself, if you were answering in response to my question. Do you have a favorite of the ones you did?

Stoner Guy, Sunday, 26 June 2005 00:57 (eighteen years ago) link

Oh shit, sorry, you did those. I thought when I saw Monsanto's" you were talking about someone else ... ha, ha. Yeah... You know what? Now might be a good time to mention the only one of those I actually understood was the Enron/New Order one. It's referring to Bush's "New World Order," right?

top it? unlikely i am climbing a mountain tomorrow and can't be up on 3 a.m. bursts of insomniac inspiration. unless this thread is up for a while ... so we can catch our second wind.

My favourite of my own is the Entroducing/Virgin Megastore one. As for topping it, I think the future is, as with the "Grace" cover, mocking the tragic deaths of musicians.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Sunday, 26 June 2005 01:08 (eighteen years ago) link

Yeah, it was New World Order. As for the others, if you look really closely at D.I. Go Pop, you can just barely make out the Circle K logo in the very center (I put it there). I also wanted to do something with Monsanto (because of how they've made a product to increase milk production that's ended up harming cows and giving them infections and extended utters and the pus comes out in the milk -- and the product's also caused harm to humans, as there have been some deaths from staphylcoccus infections that wouldn't have occurred were it not for the aforementioned product ending up in the milk, if I'm not mistaken) and when I saw their logo paired up with the word "imagine" -- oh boy! Perfect fodder! xxxpost

I don't know if I'll make one that's any better - I just have to be inspired.

Ian, my problem is I'm just not informed enough.

Thanks for explaining the Monsanto thing. I like it!

They are all my children, but I am probably fondest of the David Bowie V8 and the Nick Drake Odor Eaters ones.

It seems like people find more humor in the ones that feature a band they care about.
