Still not quite sure if it's a real ad or a Nike Spain viral.

James Mitchell, Friday, 24 February 2012 15:48 (twelve years ago) link

Arshavin to Zenit. On loan, according to SSN. Arsenal don't sell their dodgy players any more do they? Just ship them out on loan.

eboue?

mizzell, Friday, 24 February 2012 17:27 (twelve years ago) link

Ha, I think of Eboue as one of their good players. But point taken.

pandemic, Friday, 24 February 2012 17:38 (twelve years ago) link

never saw a shit player get so good so fast as eboue once gooners realised djourou was next in line at rb

Chris Samba has gone to Anzhi. Do transfer windows and all that they mean not matter to the super rich?

a hoy hoy, Friday, 24 February 2012 20:53 (twelve years ago) link

Russian transfer window closes later.

Mohombi Khush Hua (ShariVari), Friday, 24 February 2012 20:53 (twelve years ago) link

Yeah, tonight iirc

pandemic, Friday, 24 February 2012 20:54 (twelve years ago) link

End of the tax year probably has something to do with too.

James Mitchell, Friday, 24 February 2012 21:13 (twelve years ago) link

Given that Scott Dann has knacker problems and Samba looked like he wanted to be anywhere other that at Ewood Park, letting Ryan Nelsen go looks like a really stupid move, even if he basically has no legs left.

Hey guys. i am glad to see Terry Connor given the opportunity to display his management chops. I have no doubt that he has the tactical and motivational skills we need to power ourselves away from the relegation zone and become a genuine Premier League force over the next 3 or 4 years. Also I am ripped to the tits on meth.

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 02:13 (twelve years ago) link

too much tactical analysis of torres leaving lfc and becoming a total evil cunt as a result. simple logical calm maths imo.

might as well ask why giggs has 300 montages and only 400 life partners

Yep, as far as I can see everyone on ILX apart from me feels sorry for poor old Nando, whereas I just think it's funny

Striking Minors (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 25 February 2012 09:38 (twelve years ago) link

no i think it's hilarious too

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 10:27 (twelve years ago) link

On balance I'm more invested in bad things happening to Chelsea than I are in good things happening to Poor Nando but if he moves on for massively less than £50m and does well elsewhere then I wish him only good things. Unless he goes to Arsenal.

Homosexual Satan Wasp (Matt DC), Saturday, 25 February 2012 11:21 (twelve years ago) link

it's nothing personal for me i just love a good football car-wreck. which is what makes it such an exciting time to follow Wolves.

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 11:53 (twelve years ago) link

I am 50% sympathy, 50% lols. I'm sure this is where someone tells me he raped 7 women while on international duty and I am a moron for thinking it* but he seems like a genuine nice fella, which is rare in football and to see it be him go through this can't help but gain my sympathy. If it was someone I just don't like, say Rooney or Drogba or whoever, to go through the exact same circumstances it would 100% lols.

*Unfortunately finding out someone I previously liked is actually a horrible arsehole is pretty common in modern football.

1-0 to the Newcastle after a genius Ba backheel and Hennessey save. This cd go to double figures if you like that kind of thing.

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:07 (twelve years ago) link

this did happen rooney iirc they doubled his pay

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:11 (twelve years ago) link

can see a good club coming in for Hennessey when we go down.

Gutierrez just cunted Newcastle's 2nd.

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:18 (twelve years ago) link

hennessy's shite, another p robinson, useful only as far as he can fall

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:42 (twelve years ago) link

imo, obv u differ

steep? that's where i'm off hiking (darraghmac), Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:43 (twelve years ago) link

Watching the Chelsea game. They are shite

Number None, Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:48 (twelve years ago) link

Torres to come on and score a hat-trick obv

Number None, Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:50 (twelve years ago) link

Shite? But they've got cole, essien, and lampard in the team today. The chosen ones. The 3 players who would have made the difference against Napoli. Struggling against Bolton? Surely not.

pandemic, Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:52 (twelve years ago) link

N'Gog has been quiet too. After all that hype

Number None, Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:55 (twelve years ago) link

Think N'Gog certainly unaware of any hype.

pandemic, Saturday, 25 February 2012 15:59 (twelve years ago) link

dunno whether to sit thru the second half or go to Lidl. on the one hand, we've got a lot more shape and composure. on the other, we're ponderous and unimaginative and we don't have the players to break them down. also i need to get a bunch of groceries.

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:00 (twelve years ago) link

sold

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:05 (twelve years ago) link

non-defending defender David Luiz with a pretty nice goal

Number None, Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:05 (twelve years ago) link

They should start him and Drogba up front against Napoli and just punt long balls and crosses.

pandemic, Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:06 (twelve years ago) link

non no nonsense

nonsense defenders are far more interesting

JARVIS FLUKES ONE

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:09 (twelve years ago) link

lúcio is a no-nonsense quasi-nonsensical defender

we had 4 in the box too, Connor actually has fractionally improved things

FPocalypto! (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:10 (twelve years ago) link

what about nonce sense defenders?

Number None, Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:10 (twelve years ago) link

Phil collins more of a right winger iirc

pandemic, Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:10 (twelve years ago) link

julian dicks looks like he might retain a passing interest in tracking down nonces and telling them to have a word with themselves

After retiring as a footballer, Dicks took up golf and soon turned professional, but was forced to give this career up due to his knee injury. He does, however, still play golf recreationally. In 2001 he made a brief return to football after signing for non-League Canvey Island, but played only four matches. He went on to run the Shepherd & Dog Public House in Langham, near Colchester, Essex, before moving to Spain.

truly he is the platonic ideal of a retired west ham player

please change the subject. When I hear the name Julian Dicks my mind goes to other terrible Liverpool signings...Don Hutchinson, Neil Ruddock...Shudder.

pandemic, Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:19 (twelve years ago) link

Drogba with gets the second, which is his 99th PL goal. He's no Wayne Rooney

Number None, Saturday, 25 February 2012 16:21 (twelve years ago) link

It speaks for Carroll's progress that he's not on that list
