Of the many Blur threads, I'm going to revive this one for continuing "LOL Alex James" hijinx.

I fully intend on buying and reading this book, because I have a feeling it will be *hilarious* but in none of the ways that he intended it to be.

I can see it now on the fly-leaf: "Praise for the previous volume" ...

Hang on, does sound actually carry on Mars? And as there's nobody there to actually here it, what's the point?
They should play 'Pump Up The Volume' in any case.

This made me laugh a bit. Then I thought it's much safer to play something ambient-y and instrumental. But what if Martians generally listen to gabba-death-blast music and listen to it and think we're a bunch of wet-blankets, set their lasers to "LIQUIFY" and blow the shiz out of us?

if they made this into an audiobook read by Steve Coogan in his Partridge voice, and he changed every 'Alex' to 'Alan', I would probably think about buying this

Well, if they were confronted with a machine that went "Dat's Right this has gotta be the greatest sound of the Yearrrr".. We'd be safe!
