Mine goes: Rubies/Streethawk/Kaputt/Your Blues/This Night/Thief/City of Daughters/Trouble in Dreams/don't know the early lo-fi ones enough to judge

im kinda bummed cuz i think i sold my copy of 'we'll build them a bridge...' when i sold most of my cds a couple of years ago.

I avoided this guy for a long time cause of the new pornographers stench but in checking out his older stuff I'm not finding most of it kinda boring whereas kaputt is like the greatest thing really. I'm not voting cause I haven't heard some of these tho.

probably 'your blues', but i'm only like a quarter as familiar with pre-streethawk stuff as i am with stuff after

i am also tempted to vote for 'trouble in dreams' because no one else will and it is better than the albums before or after it

Love em all from Thief on (not a fan of the lo-fi stuff, though a few of those albums have some mighty good tunes), voting Rubies.

I voted for 'Trouble In Dreams,' it is a glorious record that is often dismissed by fools. It also includes the incomparably great, fun, and hilarious 'Plaza Trinidad.'

This is gonna be an interesting poll, looking forward to these results. Until Kaputt, I thought the prevailing wisdom was that Streethawk was the masterpiece (though I don't agree, "Sublimation Hour" notwithstanding). Some of you Trouble In Dreams and Your Blues people are going to make this interesting!

This is tough, leaning towards Streethawk narrowly over Rubies and Kaputt.

Wife's in the US at the moment, so I've asked her to pick up Streethawk, which is about £18 on import in the UK.

i only know Kaputt and Destroyer's Rubies, so these results seem right to me. i really need to explore more music from this guy as i think he is pretty brilliant.

kaputt was clearly the best album of 2011, a nose ahead of the three releases by the weeknd, but also probably better than anything released over the past several years (a nose ahead of, again, the three releases by the weeknd.)
