Best Song on Diddy - Dirty Money's "Last Train to Paris"

I think what I really want to know is when Diddy actually learned how to rap

I mean, it's been building for a good long while now but I think he is legit good album this album, not just "good for Diddy"

He doesn't rise above "okay" imo, even on "Looking For Love," but that's a personal best.

He sinks again on the new Ross mixtape, alas.

well let's be clear, "good" and "amazing" are two different levels

I like to think on LTTP that the company inspired him.

even tho the whole thing was ghostwritten my favorite moment of his is still "Testimonial" from Press Play

eh i always thought his rapping was a pretty secondary concern on this album -- a lot of songs he only sings, or shows up w/ one verse a full two and a half minutes in. obviously there are some strong moments within those verses (it just hit me today how good he is on "someone to love me") but i mean he's still using ghostwriters and considering how often on this album it's rick ross it's kind of lol for you to say that.

Diddy's always been enjoyable as a rapper if he has someone good writing for him.

Re: "Angels" sticking out, I kind of get the impression he put it out there before he'd really figured out the direction of the rest of the album and it ended up coming along for the ride. Note that the version on the album is reworked slightly from the single to fit in a bit better: those trancy synths at the beginning, no violin solo.

do you have the itunes deluxe version w/ 'first place loser' on it? it's in a different order than most version of the album, but that's the one i listen to and prefer.

oh ok -- fwiw the album wiki USED to show how the itunes running order differed from the CD but doesn't anymore, iirc the most prominent sequencing difference is one has "ass" then "yeah yeah" and the other has "yeah yeah" then "ass"

this is the tracklist i have... the one on wikipedia and amazon is totally off tho -- "looking for love" is thrown to the back half, "your love" is before "shades", "yesterday" is the third to last song

my tracklist is what jordan posted except with "last night pt 2" and "change" inserted

i cannot imagine it any other way

i initially downloaded the leak which follows jordan's tracklist, but then i purchased the record from itunes which had 1. intro 2. ass on the floor 3. yeah yeah you would... it's really strange and not nearly as natural of a track progression as jordan's/k3vin's version. no idea why it changed.

Besides that reversal, though, I prefer the deluxe tracklist - I Know --> Loving You No More --> Last Night Part 2 --> Yesterday is a really smooth run, and 'Change' belongs right before 'Coming Home' if anywhere.

Really wish that "Freeze your face" version with the 50 songs would've came out.

my parents were a little older when they had me, and they were both younger kids in their families. it always kinda weirded me out when other kids would talk about going to see their great-grandparents. like i didn't think that should be possible.
