it's at times like this i realise how distantly i orbit the nucleus of ILX. and -- like darraghmac says somewhere above -- i'm mightily glad about it. i've just read the last day's worth of posts here ... i should point out that it took me 10 minutes to work out which thread the BIG FITE was on, let alone what it was about.

as someone who never had the slightest bit of interest of any sort in luna, i'm sorta self-congratulatorily unsympathetic to anyone who fell for her in any way, whether she's real or not (and i think it's entirely possible she is). and to the extent i did pay attention, something there always rang false - i pretty much believed the kid after he appeared more than once or twice, but i always had problems with "aimee" (then again, i sorta have trouble wrapping my head around the existence of a non-wayans pronounced keenan, but don't doubt his existence for a minute).

i'm sorta self-congratulatorily unsympathetic

I dunno, maybe some of you can just shrug this off, but I always thought Luna was one of the more decent posters of ILX, so I'm kinda shocked by this thread. To me she seemed like a nice and honest person, so I'm still having some difficulties swallowing all this. God knows what other folks who were more in contact with her, like Sam, feel about it.

Well, she could have always tried being honest (here and offline). That would have maybe not caused such a shitfest. She's to blame partially for all this. *shrug* Then again we'll sadly never know as she's decided to pack her bags and not tell her side, which I'd love to hear.
