i posted this on sandbox, got roundly ignored ... anyway, here goes again

always appreciate feedback on my "technique" - i'm just a bedroom hobbyist, no aspirations to play out btw, at least not for anybody but friends - and selection and the one time someone sat down (on two different occasions) to give my stuff a listen i feel like i improved massively after that so anybody who does, pre-emptive gracias (and thanks again EDB if you're out there)

it's pretty much what we're all spinning these days, skippy skippy techy housey stuff and post-dubstep w/ lots of novelty classics in there too, slapped together as fast as i could manage "live" w/ traktor + controller ... though it's not in one take, i don't know how many times i fucked around with this until i was happy - at least 50 takes, if not 100

I was thinking of making a mix that starts with Baby Ford's "Westway" at 120-ish BPM. But then I thought it'd be better if I put the track as the second track and use a track that has more of an intro quality to it, kinda ambient or something. But I can't think of any track that would fit. I already have the next 5 tracks or so in my mind, only the first track troubling me. You guys have any idea? Thanks.

that baby ford track reminds me strongly of "falling up", which would tempt me to start something off of "sound sculptures", you know, like some african-americans talking over some disconnected acoustic loops, preferably sun ra for both.
