TOP CHEF: TEXAS

I think this season has been pretty decent, better than the last round of new contestants by a pretty significant margin (2 seasons ago)... Heather(?)from Spiaggia-- and Paul seem like the strongest of the group, and I don't mind the twist of the last chance kitchen thing either.
My complaint is too many group challenges, but whatever. Restaurant wars looks to be a trainwreck though.

Well, the Gondola was good at any rate. Not so sure about the racing but I thought the shooting for your ingredients was amusing enough.

probably the worst TC ever, especially at this stage in the game. I'd hate to get sent home because I wore myself out hacking a brick of ice. Between this, the bike thing and over-reliance on team challenges there has been a real de-emphasis on actual cooking this season.

Bev was straight gansta. I like paul but it would have been great if she won out just to fuck with all the chefs that hated on her the whole season

There are definitely two episodes left. Seems really odd that they're taking it down to two for the final part, but I guess if you're going to get the crew up to Vancouver you want to make it cost-efficient so get 3 eps out of it instead of 2.

I think they haven't done a head-to-head finale since the first season. This mini finale was so blah, I couldn't care who lost. Paul comes off like a decent guy and has consistently been the best cook, so I'd be surprised and a bit disappointed if he didn't win...but overall this season has really been pretty lame.

yeah i don't think lindsay is the greatest cook, but at least she didn't serve a block of ice in the semi-finale

colicchio seems like a big sarah-booster

not sure which sounded worse, the way she served it (frozen) or the way it was intended to be served (half-melted and mushy)

yeah gail seemed to be pretty annoyed at him for defending sarah during judges' table.

I only watched the first four or five episodes of this season, but! Just spotted Heather at a bar in my neighborhood. She was very loud.
