The Bangles has been nominated. I know, 'cos I nominated it.

"Ass On The Floor" placed in the 2010 tracks poll (and "Hello Good Morning" and "I Hate That You Love Me" were nominated). songs from Last Train To Paris that peaked on the charts in 2011: "Your Love" (which I would vote for), "Coming Home," "Someone To Love Me."

"sade" is the diddy dirty money track i've been voting for in ballots. obvious stand-out new track on the 2011 mixtape; took on life of its own somewhat in dj sets and mixtapes (one of my favourite moments of the year was when nguzunguzu mixed it into a bounce remix of "cherish the day" at night slugs); the mixtape itself is only on the borderline of my potential ballot so i have to rep for "sade" somehow.

that's cool, i love "Sade" and didn't know people really knew about it at all outside of the LTTP cult

to be fair i think nguzunguzu are part of the LTTP cult.

weirdly it wasn't on youtube for most of the year (apart from a weirdly pitched version) despite the fact that it was a free giveaway in the first place, when i put together my EOY playlist i had to upload it myself:
