There was a pretty big owl sitting on an aerial opposite the post office in my village. Just chilling and enjoying the daytime hubbub.

I guess South West Texas is owl country, because every night they start their cooing that goes on all night, not just one or two, but it's numerous and endless. Tonight they are in the trees outside our window and it's driving me crazy! Owls are not cool.

It's not just one cooing sound or whatever you call these owl sounds, it's different tones and inflections, high and low, long and short and it's goes on and on all night from owl to owl and so on. Even the high school football team is called the Owls.
