xxxp hi post, my username's a quote made by a clueless TV interviewer to Sun Ra, when Sun Ra revealed his plans to live in a pyramid. Sadly I can't find the original quote, but I think it's on one of the ILX jazz threads somewhere, I'll do some digging and see if I can find it.

Wow that looks familiar. Very Stalinist feel to the architecture. Feel like I should recognize the plaza. Rrrrgh.

Don't know why I asked rather than said, I've been there often enough to know what it looks like.
― ailsa, Thursday, 10 May 2012 21:19 (1 year ago) Permalink
id guess it looks better from afar than at ground level in the shadow of a billion 20 storey apartment complexes
― tebow kortwa (nakhchivan), Thursday, 10 May 2012 21:21 (1 year ago) Permalink
It's all right, actually. The apartment blocks are further along the coast. The castle where the photo was taken from and those gardens are lovely. Also A+ Picasso museum.
