again from Ira:

Do you have a computer? If not, are you in listening range of 91.1 FM in Jersey City, New Jersey or 90.1 FM in the Hudson Valley of New York State? If you can answer yes to either of these questions, then you are in luck or out of luck, depending on how you define the term. On Tuesday, November 27, from 11 pm-2 am, Eastern Standard Time, I will be on the air, in theair slot usually occupied by Small Change, playing records and chatting about this and that. You can listen live either on your radio or by going to wfmu.org.

Yo La Tengo comes back to murder more classics! This Sunday, March 2, from 5-8pm, Gaylord Fields and Bob Brainen mark the halfway point of the WFMU fundraising Marathon by once again enlisting Yo La Tengo to take your calls, pledges and most importantly cover song requests, which will then be brought to life over the air!

The band's long history with the WFMU Marathon has proven that Yo La Tengo is unstoppable, and tonight's show is a special longer 3-hour broadcast just in case that extended version of "Hocus Pocus" comes up. Gaylord co-hosts the rest of Bob's show from 8-9pm after the band packs up as well.

OK, I got my request ready.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Sunday, 2 March 2008 18:16 (sixteen years ago) link

I sure hope they play it soon. (Fingerz crossed)

James Redd and the Blecchs, Monday, 3 March 2008 00:52 (sixteen years ago) link

Oh no. I hope it's not absorbed into this "Chantilly Lace" uber-medley.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Monday, 3 March 2008 00:55 (sixteen years ago) link

Mine got in the medley... I think.

How many other songs are about getting pneumonia when you fall in love though.

tokyo rosemary, Monday, 3 March 2008 00:56 (sixteen years ago) link

Tra-la-la, baby.

James Redd and the Blecchs, Monday, 3 March 2008 01:00 (sixteen years ago) link

Why'n't you just split away?

James Redd and the Blecchs, Monday, 3 March 2008 02:08 (sixteen years ago) link

Sorry, just thinking about how Lou Reed would have played my request.
