Now quickly before I get to like more REAL parts of the show I must mention that Terius and his tite ass was there. Yo I love his songs I own both his cds like I play em as if there ain't other music sometimes... but why da fuck is ya man always dressin so tite? U think it's cuz he got the face of a fat kid? Just a hush puppy away from bein a lardo so he wears skinny shit to show he ain't fat? Or like what is it? For real? He is NOT buff his voice is NOT masculine so he don't need to wear nut huggers everywhere he goes..This performance was better than his performance at Mary and Jay-Zs Heart of the City Tour last year tho.. Goodnite Terius! Call leticia yo beautician....

on some utter nerd shit he reused, like, that scalding hot water synth synth tone from "freaky freaky" that makes me think of 112 & shit for some reason

thought this bump was gonna be for that song w/ fuckin big sean

but i'm glad he went back to that really glistening, golden sound of "rockin that shit" & "fila" but went in a different direction w/ it

I wonder if he produced this himself, since I felt that his production and the lack of a Los/Tricky influence is what hurt 1977 and, to a lesser extent, LoveKing.

i like this and it's better than anything on 1977 (obv) but it's blowing me away exactly as much as "love king" did when it dropped (ie it's not, though it's nice enough and i'll happily listen to it a ton)

Well that just dampened my anticipation.

the second half of this is pretty nice, kinda in the vain of whatever the segue in FMBO/bodywork was called was. the song is kinda autopilot though.

"fila" through to "abyss" is an astounding run that easily counteracts whatever flaws it has

shawty is da shit through mama is an even more astounding run and plus, has no flaws

the flaws on both those albums are outside those runs (well "mama" is entirely a flaw but whatever)

As Terius songs go this sounds so formulaic and tossed out in five minutes it feels like I've written it in some kind of lazy parody.

yeah this is a bit slight no doubt, but i really appreciate the overall vibe/style and it's not like a lead single or something so i'm cool with it

Can't disagree that this sounds tossed-off, but isn't that part of his charm a lot of the time? Even his best, most-realized tracks have a just-fucking-around quality to them. My favs are the ones where he sounds like he's just having too much fun to edit himself
