It'll be stealther. If it interferes with your referrer, it'll stop the code that checks you're trying to post from an ILX domain. I disabled that a while back, because it kept turning itself off and on seemingly randomly.

Haha! "Track me not"!.. Yes, that will fuck it up properly. ILX checks your referrer to see if you're coming from one of the three legal URLs.

Are the Sandbox threads not integrated with all the others? I was futilely searching for a thread until I realized it was on the Sandbox, and found it there instead.

No they're not, but I spent a very pleasant couple of hours trawling through all threads there (I was trying to find the ILX reaction to Catherine Tate in Doctor Who the first time round). Seconded for any request to move them over here (I can't remember if that was possible or not)

can we get back all date-related searches ordered by board then date? searching for all threads last changed on a given day or started in a given month brings back results for all boards which is too much information (have to filter out the 90% of boards you know are wrong)

We REALLY REALLY need changeable screen names back. I don't care what it takes, or even if it's not possible, but we need it anyway.

Mods and admins, remind me again about changeable screen names. Is it impossible, or just difficult? It's the best feature of old-ILX that we don't have anymore. Bring it back!

Another request: since I usually check out ILX first thing I do when I get up (such is the responsibilities of a board mod) and before I go to work, I demand a button that makes me a nice cup of tea (black with two sugars).

Revive! I'm still having this problem w the "7648596109056869822: Failed To Insert Message" bug. I'm getting this in Firefox 2 and 3 and IE. The above-suggestion about nuking cookies didn't work.

That's it checking the referrer and finding that when you post a message, that the post request doesn't come from www.ilxor.com. Are you coming in from a different URL?

Posting from another site you mean? No. Just ilxor.com. At home, this works on my Mac -- but not on my XP machine.

Well, it would fail if the request looks as though it doesn't come from there. I dunno about all these browser plugins you can get that do funny stuff, or something that might actually remove the referer HTTP header before you post (some sort of super-paranoid security plugin, perhaps) that would cause this problem.
