Yeah, that's good. I think there's another Ron in there too.

Or maybe I'm thinking of when Ron Silver plays himself in "Heat Vision and Jack."

other Rons: Ron Leibman and Ron Rifkin

Yeah, thanks rosemary, it was the first of those guys, the one who played "Kaz."

Ha, Ron Rifkin's imdb page says he is sometimes confused with Joel Grey.

I don't get them confused, per se, but I always seem to forget that Jeff Bridges' name isn't "Jeff Daniels". It takes me a second before I think, "Oh, wait. Jeff Daniels is that other guy."

I often mix Jeff Bridges and Jeff Daniels too. They even look a bit like each other:

Ben Franklin, Benedict Arnold
I know who they are and what they did, but sometimes when I eat Eggs Benedict I start thinking about Ben Franklin with the kite getting over with the key, and then having to clear my mind and think of traitors.

Superchunk/Supergrass

moe greene dolphin street (James Redd and the Blecchs), Wednesday, 22 April 2009 15:37 (fourteen years ago) link

The various wolf bands, with the exception of Wolf Eyes and AIDS Wolf, the latter being the only one I've actually listened to.

Don't forget Peanut Butter Wolf.

moe greene dolphin street (James Redd and the Blecchs), Wednesday, 22 April 2009 19:17 (fourteen years ago) link

They're one of the wolf bands I get mixed up with the wolf bands that aren't Wolf Eyes or AIDS Wolf. I'm clear on those two.

photoshop your disgusting ass partner into passive-aggressive notes (sarahel), Wednesday, 22 April 2009 19:20 (fourteen years ago) link

For a while it was just Peanut Butter Wolf and Guitar Wolf, and I'd forget which one was Japanese.

Superchunk/Supergrass

on this note, Superchunk / Superdrag / Supertramp. I know who they all are, but still have to think for a second whenever I see any of their names.

Ralph, Waldo, Emerson, Lake & Palmer (Merdeyeux), Wednesday, 22 April 2009 19:26 (fourteen years ago) link

I always get this, and I have no idea why because they don't look similar and I'm aware of what films they are respectively in so should never really get them confused.

Pee Wee Ellis/Pee Wee Russell

moe greene dolphin street (James Redd and the Blecchs), Tuesday, 28 April 2009 13:38 (fourteen years ago) link

Ca. 1987, all these TV shows were on the air, none of which I've actually seen:

Cagney and Lacey
Kate and Allie
The Scarecrow and Mrs. King
Jake and the Fatman

Somehow the 1985 movie The Falcon and the Snowman also gets mixed up in there.

Used to have serious trouble with Jean Claude Van Damme and errr, the other guy. I just spent five minutes on Google trying to figure out his name, but whenever I think of a movie he's in, it turns out it's Van Damme!

I will not yield!

He was in something with Henry Ford, I think. Wait, no, that guy's not named Henry Ford... Henry... He was in the Fugitive! Harrison Ford!

Oh for crying out loud, I just clicked through a whole lotta Ford titles on IMDB and still didn't find m... OH WAIT It's Steven Seagal!

That was not worth it at all.

The Kinks
The Jam

I know one of these is from the 60s and one from the 80s, but I can't remember which one is which.

Tuomas, Tuesday, 5 May 2009 13:10 (fourteen years ago) link

The Kinks were from the 80s. They had that song called "Come Dancing".
