gotta say i had high hopes and feel kinda let down w/ new j davey. compared to the dangerous sexy randomness of the first double-set, it's bland. dang!

I actually quite like a lot of the stuff he's done with female vocalists but Cupid Deluxe was a real bore.

if Solange likes Kelela so much, she should just make a Fade To Mind-produced record too (or even better, hire another like-minded crew of producers and take the same approach).

I have a lot of problems with this whole aesthetic; the biggest is that artists use it as an excuse to disguise thin songwriting. But the one that bothers me the most is the way every artist seems to think its incredibly unique and novel, when in reality the internet is saturated with this stuff
