The other thing I misquoted through not opening up the whole thread to search was "I'm just surprised anyone is SHOCKED to hear the accusation that Luna might not be real: did people think she was, like, the only person in the history of the world to have never ever been photographed with her child and/or pets?" which I thought I was just paraphrasing not completely rewriting.

Anyway, I'm hardly the only one overreacting and taking this in a spirit other than what seemed to be intended. Apologies all round.

Dude I am not on anyone's SIDE here! I was just trying to, like, clarify for Chaki, mostly! When he first made a Luna=fake comment I actually said something like "fine but let's all play along," but people started raging at him about it so unfairly that I couldn't help explaining his point of view a little.

Well, this certainly made no sense.

If what people are saying, or "not saying, just saying" is true then I think chaki was well within his rights to snipe at luna and to warn people off.

chaki's wee hints and things like "put two and two together" and "the facts are out there" (paraphrasing, aint reading it all again) was what annoyed those of us (mostly Brits/Irish and therefore a bit removed from the people directly affected) who are/were blind ignorant to all of this stuff that's apparently been bubbling under for years. The facts may all be out there if anyone wants to read back through 5 years of ilx but you could have just given us a quick summary - it was that that made people think your accusations were ungrounded.

The chaki/misery exchange had a fair bit of overreaction on both sides. It's understandable for Ms Mis to react to someone she sees as a friend being (as she sees it) badmouthed, just as it's understandable for chaki to take exception to people trying to stop him warning people off someone who's allegedly fucked his friends over. Picking off old scabs was just low.

I don't want people thinking I'm saying it's ok for us to shoot shit about dogs or whatever w/ luna just because she hasn't ripped our hearts out. I only mentioned that to illustrate that that was all I was aware us with luna for years. If it is true then it's fucked up and v sad for all concerned. If I'd been aware of what had happened in the past I would have reacted differently.

I mean, I am a cranky, impatient pain in the ass, esp when hungry, and also very lazy, and if my friends feel they can look past those qualities, that's totally awesome b/c that's what people do. But if I started hurting my friends one after another, eventually shit would go down, you know? People have been discreet/silent about Luna for a very long time, it's not like this is coming out of nowhere as a SURPRISE ATTACK.
