I saw She & Him a year or so ago, a big outdoor show, packed, and all night I kept asking people to name three movies she was in. The response was always " Elf, 500 Days of Summer .... uh ..." Every once in a while someone would mention "Almost Famous," or "Hitchhiker's Guide." But for someone a) famous and b) who has been in a lot of movies, it's hard to say just what movies have made her famous.

Whatever else this thread says about her, it establishes that Zooey Deschanel inspires passion. Sometimes passionate hatred. As for me, she's obv cute as a button. That's ok. Cuteness is widespread among the youthful and it's a good thing, as far as it goes, but cute is not a very high standard of beauty in a woman.
