Heard dingbat the other day. "...and my mom's a dingbat, but his mom's a real dingbat." So definitely used in reference to women here, but the speaker was a woman.

In colloquial Finnish, "hand" can actually be used to connote someone is clumsy or unable to do something... For example, "when it comes to fixing things, he's a total hand" would mean "he can't fix things". I have no idea where this usage comes from, it's possibly a corruption of "handy". (The Finnish word for "handy" is derived from the word "hand", just like in English.)
