i will not say any names but she has strung along a number of male ilxors to the point of them being "im love", making "future plans" together and staging elaborate meet ups and such. then always pulls the plug on the last minute and stops talking to them all together. not me mind you but she did tell me she went into my work one night and talked to me and even described what clothes i was wearing even though i do not recall helping any large breasted ladies in their 30's that evening.

So why aren't they stalking her around the board harassing her? Let them handle their own shit. Do you seriously have no life or what?

I have no idea about the two situations chaki describes. If indeed luna is some janna st james delusional bullshitter who's been stringing dudes along then it is shitty as hell. All I've seen of her on ILX recently has been stuff about her dogs and occasional mentions of her kid on the parenting thread and a 'hi dere' once in a blue moon on here so it doesn't ring true for me, but as chaki says, he's the one with the 'facts' (not sarky quotes chaki, just that these facts don't seem to be accepted by everyone).

It's a shame that this leads to people who have very little do with it bad mouthing each other and digging up old shit but then I suppose that's what happens when people start exposing their 'real' selves online.

this is about a former ilxor who left on account of the events described:

XXXX XXXXX (11:42:21 AM): he told me all about it when he was in the middle of it. ok, he msged me and had to tell someone, needed another perspective. and he said, this might seem weird, but luna and i are in LOVE. so he went on to tell me about how they'd been involved online and on the phone for quite a while, and then he wanted to meet her of course. when he was telling me about this, he kept talking about how she wanted to keep it all a secret. anyway, he spent ALL HIS MONEY (he was unemployed) on a trip to SF. he was staying with friends, but really the trip was to meet luna. she of course was all "excited" to see him and finally be together and all that shit. she "drove up" from LA. he got there, called her cell phone, she NEVER ANSWERED for the full five days he was there. and then told him afterwards that her phone had been locked in her trunk by mistake! he was so snowed that he believed her. BUT he tried calling her from a friend's cell once during that time, and she answered. then pretended to be someone else and disconnected.

Look, the point I'm trying to make here is of the population of this thread about half are women and just about all the guys are involved in long-term relationships or married. And most of us are from Yurp.

If Luna wants to come here and talk about dogs, or whatever, I think I can firmly say none of us are going to be even vaguely inclined to move to America in an attempt to be with her.

Irrespective of what might have gone before, the scenario you're describing is not going to happen here. If she wants this as a part of ILX she can still post on (for whatever reason she might want to, I'm not denying what you say might have happened) then are you really such cunts you can't let her have it? Does it really matter that much to you?

Right so, Luna is supposedly fake. There is no evidence one way or the other as far as I can tell. To be honest I believe that there is more evidence that I can see that she really exists. Chaki has chased Misery off of the thread that (to all intents and purposes) acts as a base (sad as that may sound) for a lot of us on ILX. This whole exchange only lends weight to the idea that tone just doesn't work on the internet and that what's funny for one isn't necessarily funny for everyone. I would hate to see people leave that have no need to, even those posters that I don't care for. Chaki, you seem like a decent guy elsewhere on ILX. Why you feel the need to harass Misery and others, I just don't understand. I feel that there has been a needless hounding of Misery both here and on other threads. She appears to know Luna or at the very least had quite a serious off-board exchange with Luna. I am certain that Luna is a real person posting as she is, I don't think that she would have spent so many years being someone else. Sure, there are examples (Jesse James, that Montgomery person) who have been quite extreme but in both those cases it involved an one-on-one relationship. You state that two posters were badly hurt by Luna. Who exactly? If it comes to unqualifiable statements I myself know of 53 people who have left because of the NB and it's shenanigans. Basically my point is this: people have a right to be left alone when they have done nothing to deserve the negative attention. To be honest I dislike fanning the flames like this but enough is enough as far as I am concerned, what has been said about Misery on the NB was unacceptable! I don't think anyone's health or character should be brought up when they are unable to defend or clarify their position. By banning and then proceeding to mock her you made it a very unbalanced and unfair situation. My final point, if you've made it this far (apologies for putting so many words into a post, I'm sure there are bits that you can copy and paste to your heart's content) is that Misery has done nothing to warrant this attention. If standing up to bullying and idiocy is a punishable offence on ILX then something is very seriously wrong with us as a whole.

As it is, Misery come back, Chaki calm down, Remy and Roxy nice to have you here ditto gear & Ethan. This is not any individual's thread, we are not the watercooler, but there are a core group of posters who do their best to behave well towards one another and offer a distraction from the humdrum world of their desk jobs. We have no rules, just the understanding that bullying and the like aren't welcome.
