I'm really thankful for all the attention being paid to bullying these days and glad its being addressed in a lot of different forums, but being teased about your wildly successful viral video that has led you to quite a few lucrative options is not "bullying".

I'm not saying its not hurtful but c'mon, I think our definition of "bullying" has gotten a little too all-encompassing now. When I say I was "bullied" in junior high its because I got the shit kicked out of me on a regular basis in the gym locker room until I literally couldn't breathe. I say I was "teased" when people would make fun of my last name or whatever. Like I said, I'm sure its still hurtful, particularly to a 14 year old girl, I just don't like the trend of every little thing being called "bullying" downplays some of the serious shit kids have to go through.

And, yeah, I'll save my sympathy for the little kid who goes home and cries in his closet, not the girl that gets to hang out with Katy Perry and go on late-night talk shows.

actually, i kind of think that the Katy perry video and song are hands-down the stupidest thing i've seen/heard all year, and thus i love them without restraint. especially when she asks "IS THIS A HICKEY OR A BRUISE." or "I SMELL LIKE A MINI-BAR."
