It gets a bit segregated on Friday evenings, white folks downstairs and black folks on the top, not sure what the deal with that is. I like saturdays better. Music is great on both dance floors.
From a Yelp review of a club that I'm one of the owners of. Note: the entire venue is one room with one dancefloor on a single level.

I'm sick to death of reading negative "reviews" that are nothing more than butthurtedness over something like "our waitress was not aware that we should be getting four cents off our medium Diet Coke for it being our eighth Foursquare check-in and it ruined our entire experience".

can't believe the yelp reviews of my health club - people calling it "ghetto" and one fool actually complaining about the "nudity" in the locker room? sorta comes w/the territory
first thing i thought of was this thread title

Since I am from the home of authentic Mexican food (SoCal!), I tend to exercise a snobbish flair towards Mexican food on the East Coast.
Whenever I'm craving for a veggie burrito, I head here. It not only fills me up, but gives me the authentic mexican experience I sometimes miss from SoCal.
As I am from SoCal, I have come to recognize authentic Mexican food, and learned to appreciate it.
The food was adequate, but definitely lacked that seemingly-necessary authentic SoCal Mexican food flair.
If you want authentic mexican food, come to socal.
Source of the most authentic Mexican food, according to Yelpers: SoCal. Place rarely mentioned as a source of authentic Mexican food: Mexico.

First, it took like 30 minutes for my friend to get a drink. And when a hot girl can't get a drink within 5 minutes, there's a problem.

Then, on the rooftop, a staff member made us move away from the bar for no apparent reason, even though there was a half-naked woman sipping a drink near the edge of the terrace. Were we too close to the bartender's prostitute? Not sure.

i mean srsly I know they've soldiered on behind paywall or whatever but their content is balls and they've been irrelevant since like before there was even an internets, let alone since there was citysearch or whatever. they're like the AOL dialup of guides to places where people eat and drink in public.

Yes, but they do apparently have a limited user-review capability on their website and Google will probably try to expand that capability. Especially likely since Google actually tried to buy Yelp in 2009.

This person's reviews really freak me out. They seem normal to detail-obsessed on first viewing, but it's the sheer accumulation of endless detail without any opinion that makes them so terrifying:

Primerica Financial Services Category: Insurance 1/6/2011 First to ReviewI just wanted to know what my options are. College economics feels like a long time ago. I'm still in the research phase. I talked to Adan Santos about saving for college through estate planning and investing. He discussed 529 plans, money management, and portfolio monitoring.
He recommended basics such as adding to a savings account, setting savings goals, and sticking to a budget. I learned that the beneficiary of the former can be any age, even a retiree. I think he did a good job illustrating investment objectives against charges and risks. There are too many choices (bonds/mutual funds).
