I am definitely not saying what happened when F pointed out that she wasn't eating one of her chips.

aldo, Monday, 15 October 2007 09:51 (sixteen years ago) link

oh, go on, i'll ask you then if nobody else will.

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:02 (sixteen years ago) link

Ah. I know so little of Dracula, so I did actually google it then buggered off elsewhere on the internets. Thanks all. I feel a little bit more educated than I did earlier.

ailsa, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:03 (sixteen years ago) link

She wouldn't eat a chip because an insect had flown onto it at some point in cooking. So I ate it.

Not the chip.

aldo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:06 (sixteen years ago) link

It's a bit of chocolate with an oven-roasted cricket in it.

and he complains about the chocolate :/

onimo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:11 (sixteen years ago) link

Not the chip.

Of course not, because that would be disgusting.

accentmonkey, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:12 (sixteen years ago) link

al, you are a very strange man. do you have some secret hankering for going on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here?

ailsa, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:13 (sixteen years ago) link

Very good source of protein and very tasty. Seriously.

(Also, there was talk about bringing crickets to ATP)

aldo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:15 (sixteen years ago) link

This is your not-very-secret plan to stop me ever sharing a chalet with you ever again, isn't it? BEASTIES!!!

ailsa, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:17 (sixteen years ago) link

It wasn't me that was talking about bringing them.

Also, menko sweeties were slightly disappointing across the board, Hello Kitty Candy Perfume in particular promised so much and delivered so little.

aldo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:21 (sixteen years ago) link

hmm, if i could get a good fat steak of cricket i might try it, it's the fact that it is so bitty that puts me off.

and the legs, dear god the legs.

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:25 (sixteen years ago) link

I shall be brave and eat crickets at ATP.

Keepin it realz.

onimo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:43 (sixteen years ago) link

I shall be brave drunk and eat crickets at ATP.

There, fixed.

ailsa, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:47 (sixteen years ago) link

Getting drunk when people are offering insect based snacks around *is* brave!

onimo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:51 (sixteen years ago) link

Or stupid. Fine line and all that.

onimo, Monday, 15 October 2007 10:51 (sixteen years ago) link

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 11:09 (sixteen years ago) link

Misery, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:20 (sixteen years ago) link

So tired...

Michael White, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:22 (sixteen years ago) link

Onimoed?

Misery, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:23 (sixteen years ago) link

...tired of playing the game

onimo, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:24 (sixteen years ago) link

I am not onimoed today.

So this is what the office looks like on a Monday...

onimo, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:25 (sixteen years ago) link

I am not onimoed either, and will not be tomorrow since I have an early start. ;_;

aldo, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:32 (sixteen years ago) link

Me neither. Might be on Thursday though.

ailsa, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:33 (sixteen years ago) link

I am a tad onimoed, yes. Sunday morning started with breakfast at 9 AM at some friends' house followed by a very gay Oktoberfest party and ending with a very nice dinner out. Wine consumption could probably have been measured in gallons.

Michael White, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:33 (sixteen years ago) link

I four am not onimoed huzzah etc I am in foul fucking form but that's pretty much life at the moment. Yay work etc :(

You had wine at oktoberfest?!

kv_nol, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:34 (sixteen years ago) link

wein, surely?

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:35 (sixteen years ago) link

Chances of me being onimoed on Sunday decreasing somewhat as the Try Glasgow More FAP steering committee seem to be heading inevitably for Mono on Saturday.

ailsa, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:36 (sixteen years ago) link

i haven't been onimoed in 6 weeks, which is just takin the piss at this stage.

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:37 (sixteen years ago) link

I was Onimoed at a wedding Saturday. It was a rollergirl getting married. pretty fun.

Misery, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:38 (sixteen years ago) link

Hang on. WTF at last two posts?!

kv_nol, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:41 (sixteen years ago) link

You had wine at oktoberfest?!

I did! Weird, huh? It was Grüner Veltliner so I figured it was a tolerable lapse.

Michael White, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:42 (sixteen years ago) link

real alkie sentence there!

i picked up a DS last night at 11pm for €125, which i thought was good. that's christmas out of the way for SO.

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:54 (sixteen years ago) link

Hey, Michael White, thanks for the recommendation for that exhibition in San Francisco. Mister M thought it was great, although we are both getting a little tired of arriving at world-class museums only to find them closed for renovations.

accentmonkey, Monday, 15 October 2007 14:57 (sixteen years ago) link

You're in SF?

Misery, Monday, 15 October 2007 15:12 (sixteen years ago) link

No, Mister M is in Mountain View, visiting the Mother Ship.

accentmonkey, Monday, 15 October 2007 15:37 (sixteen years ago) link

What museum was closed, accentmonkey?

Michael White, Monday, 15 October 2007 15:44 (sixteen years ago) link

Part of SFMOMA was closed for renovation, he said, so they were only showing part of the collection. The same thing affected us when we were in Paris last year, and me when I was in Amsterdam this year.

accentmonkey, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:11 (sixteen years ago) link

Happened to me in Louisiana in Denmark a couple of years ago. They had half the museum closed for a rehang. There was still the gardens etc. but it did leave the place feeling awfully small. Not good for memory lane moments at all :(

kv_nol, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:12 (sixteen years ago) link

happened me with the rijksmuseeum once, but i got it again so no big deal.

darraghmac, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:14 (sixteen years ago) link

Ah, that's right, accentmonkey. Did he see the Joseph Cornell, though?

Michael White, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:16 (sixteen years ago) link

am totally screwed today...was out till 5 on Friday then I think 7 on Sunday, then had 3 bottles of beer last night before needing sleep. not used to that kind of partying.

today I am left with major boredom at stupid career.

Ronan, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:19 (sixteen years ago) link

Ah, that's right, accentmonkey. Did he see the Joseph Cornell, though?

Yes. He didn't like it. I think he referred to it as "a bunch of stuff in boxes, like Rauschenberg, but not good". He's a tough crowd.

accentmonkey, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:22 (sixteen years ago) link

Wait, Ronan, you're drinking again?? That's great!

Laurel, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:23 (sixteen years ago) link

ROFL @ enablers on this thread!

kv_nol, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:24 (sixteen years ago) link

He's a tough crowd.

Hmmm. I liked some of the pieces but there was a lot of dross.

Michael White, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:27 (sixteen years ago) link

today I am left with major boredom at stupid career.

I'm feeling bored and/or brain dead. Do like my career, just in a definite funk right now.

Drinking too much really kind of sucks. It's fun at the time but I hate the (mental) aftereffects. That is some serious partying Ronan.

boxes. . .We saw the Donald Judd exhibit in Marfa a couple of years ago. Um, lots of boxes.

Misery, Monday, 15 October 2007 16:28 (sixteen years ago) link

i drove some friends to that oktoberfest thing at fort mason. it looked weird.
