I ALWAYS say dishwasher when I mean washing machine. I know the difference between the objects and do not put plates through the permanent press cycle, yet you couldn't tell be listening to me talk.

Madame Bovary, Mata Hari and Madame Blavatsky. I always mix them up. Mostly I want to refer to the spiritualist fraud and say Madame Bovary instead.

Ben Franklin and Benedict Arnold. It's a breakfast thing.
I was eating Eggs Benedict one day and said to my husband, "Benedict Arnold flew the kite, right?" To this day Eggs Benedict is now Eggs Ben Franklin.
Philadelphia & Pennsylvania - I always forget which is the city and which is the state.
Yes and Bread - no idea why, but these two bands are completely interchangeable in my mind.
Red/Brown, and Blue/Purple - cos I'm colourblind...

Ben Franklin and Benedict Arnold.
A pedant writes: Of course you are aware that Eggs Benedict are not named after Benedict Arnold but various other people?
Curiously my friend confuses Eggs Benedict with Eggs Florentine. Which really should be easy to tall apart as one is delicious and the other has spinach.
