my internet love's friend's reaction to the fact he spends so much time emailing and talking to me: "how can you spend so much time with someone YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW??". i laughed so hard when he told me that - it defies all logic, yet she firmly believes i'm not 'real' because he's never met me in person. because of course 'real life' people are NEVER insincere, dishonest about their motives, fake, or shady.

this goes hand-in-hand with "internet relationships often don't work out in the end" - because relationships with people you meet in 'real life' ALWAYS end happily.

Real life people buy me beer that is why I prefer them. You can't paypal a pint. Well you can but it's not so nice. (xpost)
