i love when we get to scare max and the other guys who are under 27

some dude, Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:42 (twelve years ago) link

it's really sad max was a fetus and missed the real world

Sharon Gitau (season four; singer in acid jazz group, rumored to be estelle's mom)

she should do a reality show with keyshia cole's mom, who was on celebrity rehab 4.

don't believe the HYP (get bent), Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:43 (twelve years ago) link

i don't think anyone in the world should be allowed to be younger than max. that should be a rule.

horseshoe, Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:44 (twelve years ago) link

she's not really estelle's mom

...or is she?

death to ilx, long live the frogbs (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:44 (twelve years ago) link

no, she's not.

so my sister told me earlier that jon stewart apparently had this whole hilarious rant about r.w. tami on his old mtv show and now i curse god and all the heavens that the internet isn't giving this up

death to ilx, long live the frogbs (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:46 (twelve years ago) link

tbh the only thing i remember now about jon stewart's mtv show is that christina ricci showed her underwear on it one time

death to ilx, long live the frogbs (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:47 (twelve years ago) link

i remember elizabeth shue grabbing his junk

some dude, Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:49 (twelve years ago) link

og 'jon stewart show' was pretty dope -- also its and 'the state's predecessor 'you wrote it you watch it' was a secret classic

some dude, Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:50 (twelve years ago) link

yeah og jon stewart show just seemed to be in the long mtv tradition of giving some goofball a show and not really supervising it at all and everyone involved seeming to feel like they're getting away with something

death to ilx, long live the frogbs (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:51 (twelve years ago) link

when comedy central does that we end up with tosh.0.

let's not talk about the bane of the mtv in the 90s on the weekend experience: mtv sports

I remember Neil the British guy saying he wanted to make music that was aurally calculated to make you shit your pants.

Why is this thread so long?

i think my first exposure to henry rollins was when he would intermittently show up on mtv sports

some dude, Thursday, 7 July 2011 00:58 (twelve years ago) link

mtv sports won a cable ace award for 'best sports information series' btw

daisy fuentes and dan cortes hosting mtv's daytime summer programming was a little bit from column "heaven" and a little bit from column "hell"

i sort of miss daisy fuentes

horseshoe, Thursday, 7 July 2011 01:00 (twelve years ago) link

i think there is a thread somewhere about rock n jock

☂ (max), Thursday, 7 July 2011 01:01 (twelve years ago) link

i think i could trace the exact moment i hit puberty to whatever day daisy fuentes went from a boring vj to an interesting vj

some dude, Thursday, 7 July 2011 01:01 (twelve years ago) link

On August 4, 2009, the video game Daisy Fuentes Pilates was released for the Wii.[9]

jeez now it's coming back to me i guess new orleans was the last one i watched at all? crazy melissa was pretty hot. that was definitely one of the most dysfunctional seasons, even by real world standards.

oh man, you REALLY haven't watched the show since then have you

I mean... Paris, Austin, Hollywood, Key West, Cancun, DENVER... they have had some real DOOZY seasons since then that make everyone in NO seem completely reasonable and normal. EVERYONE.

I mean, you missed the wonder and glory that was Brooke from RW:Denver:

death to ilx, long live the frogbs (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 7 July 2011 13:31 (twelve years ago) link

coming home early from work and catching me and my sisters watching the grind was what caused my mom to get rid of our tv for a year. fuck you, eric nies.

omg I can't lose another day to this thread, stop being so awesome

DJP, Thursday, 7 July 2011 13:39 (twelve years ago) link

There was a very short lived show in the early 2000s called Sisqó's Shakedown which was a Grind-like dance show. My bff lives in LA and used to do a lot of extra work through an agency. One of her first jobs was as a dancer on that show. It was pretty awesome.
