i remember in '92 when they have this big "NEW MUSIC REVOLUTION" ad campaign to signal that they were finally retiring all those old Whitesnake videos and only keeping recent vids in rotation

the music programming on mtv was all anyone really talked about (other than the real world) until at least 96/97.

i was actually thinking of just starting a john norris vs. kurt loder poll instead of polling all the mtv news personalities

haha ikr. i only experienced this stuff when i was at their houses (in which case we only watched scrambled porn) or when i was staying with my grandparents during summer break.

I attended the National Association of College Broadcasters convention in Providence in 1994 as manager of my college station, and at a panel hosted by some MTV people, I won a beach towel for being able to name all the original MTV veejays. I still have that towel.
