Worst Album On Kerrang Albums Of The Year List 2008

Well, Kerrang are still Kerrang with Metallica on top of the list. But it seems their perception of what is metal or hard rock hasn't changed since the 80s. Which may provoke some metal fans.

yeah list is loaded down with 80s-style metal bands...like...um...weezer...and mogwai...and akaline trio...and mars volta

Oh, what the hell? I wrote a whole long thing and it didn't go through? Bloody hell. The short of it: Amon Amarth, Gojira, Enslaved, NIN = rad, Bring Me the Horizon = WTF?

Not that I really care about this magazine, though, not being British. To be honest, I'm only familiar with it because of Kerr's rants and that part in "Get in the Ring" where Axl rags on them.

It's not quite as abysmal as when they named Biffy Clyro their 2007 album of the year.

I gave up on kerrang only a few years ago. I cant resist the xmas specials though. This year is the worst though.

I still havent heard back from musically how she runs hers. I know most of the rolling metal posters would write blurbs to go with each album, but it's the actual compiling of it that concerns me as i dont have office on my comp any more. Im pretty sure musically uses excel.

I'd have a go if noone else wants to but im not sure id be able to do it.

Plus is there enough demand? there's no point if there's only gonna be 10-15 people voting.

How I hate The Mars Volta. I'm sure their ability to play instruments might be beyond my comprehension but if they can't use that to make a tune it's just pointless for me.

nice to see metallica and that 'death magnetic' fraud in number one spot, though i'm sure the slipknot and mars volta records are pretty horrid. seems to be a pretty dire list on the whole, with only the enslaved, meshuggah and amon amarth jumping out at me as truly worthy contenders for the year
