"I cannot see him. I cannot have a relationship with my father and be morally consistent," he added, "I lived with all these adopted children, so they are my family. To say Soon-Yi was not my sister is an insult to all adopted children."

is this dude a robot?

must be morally consistent. incest does not compute.

ice cr?m, Thursday, 30 June 2011 19:56 (twelve years ago) link

icey can just speak for me from now on.

not having anything to do with his creep father: totally justified.

couching his rationale about it like an ile post: weird.

"I cannot see him."

woody is prob like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMuWLDC8FD4

To say Soon-Yi was not my sister is an insult to all adopted children."

tbf, their entire family is weird (living in separate houses, adopting boatloads of different kids from around the world with massive age differences, etc). what Woody did is pretty strange and I can see how the kid would be pissed about it but just because Soony-Yi was his "sister" in one respect does not really mean that Woody was her "father" in any real way. hewing strictly to legal designations seems kind of crazy in its own way, they don't accurately describe the situation.

what IS a real dick move is that Woody basically chose a woman over his biological children.

Perhaps no one knows more about engaging the youth of today than Ronan Farrow. He was a child prodigy, who has grown up to be a humanitarian and activist, among other things.

what other things??
