See yesterday's I understood, it was just about hitting that squidgy rubber ball at the right angle so you got a boost over the next part of the level. Didn't manage to actually do it (without then fucking up something else minor) but at least I understood it. Today though? No idea, it's just a straight run with a few annoying pebbles to dodge, isn't it?

its all about landing the last springy branch in between the mound and the bridge

unless you can somehow clear that mound?

no one, this one is all about the momentum you get as you climb the hill after the first bridge and fall into the breezy cave zone. i've only been able to nail it a few times, but that was when i jumped ahead of most of you suckas

question related to this map - and this is a question that i believe was first asked by aristotle - do you guys do a little jump off of the first rock and land on the right edge of the second set of rocks, giving you momentum to slide across the bridge and work your way up the first hill? or do you just run over the first rock, run over the second set of rocks (no jumps), and then land on the other side of the bridge before heading up the first hill?

I was doing walk, walk, and then pull off the gas a little bit so I land right next to the bridge rather than right at the base of the hill in order to get a bit of momentum, but once or twice I had runs where I actually landed to the left of the bridge and somehow got across the bridge without slowing down (maybe because I slightly hopped without realizing it?) and got even more speed. But I couldn't duplicate that at all whereas I could reliably redo the first strategy.

aw man, just been practising with just running no jumping, and sometimes you land on the bridge and stop when you hit the end; sometimes you go too far and land on the uphill; but sometimes you hit the sweet flat bit jsut after and keep on going. so you get different results doing exactly the same thing? fuk dat,

due to some sort of bug (maybe?) in the game, the first time you do it, you're really slow and you don't make it across the bridge, but all subsequent attempts, you do. Weird. But if you just hold right as soon as the clock starts, you should get very similar results from run #2 on

hmmmmmm if i hold right *before* the clock starts, which is the only sure-fire way to get the same timing every time, then i go too far. but that is consistent i guess. still means that timing yr start makes a difference which is a bit grrr.

i should have added that in the middle of the leap across the bridge, you need to let up for a split second so you don't go too far

so, I just joined another custom league with a few friends of mine. But now I realized you can only be in one custom league at a time. Can anyone check and see if i still show up in the ILX league, even though I have another custom league entered right now in the Options? (I'm ZS25)

is it poss to leap the boulder from the ledge, just after the springy twig and before the mound of rocks, to land on the right of the spring? (near the end)

think I have a good line but just cant execute it

that sounds impossible. might make a landing on the boulder at best?

feel there would be too much airtime even if you did make it.

I've been doing two small hops, delayed jump off the first spring, miss the second short and then jump over it, jump off the crest of the downhill, run and jump miss the twig and land on the plateau just before the mound of rocks... don't have a line from there

should I be trying to hit that second spring?

game really needs ~replays~

that's my basic strategy. then run over mound, jump onto and off of boulder, then just run.

what do i know though, i'm fifth (or worse)

i've had hundreds of horrible runs, and one miracle accident run that got me to 18.04. i have no idea how it happened, but i managed to hit the sweet spot on just about every spring (including the second one)

Are you guys having any issues with the cannons? Sometimes they won't fire at all and I just run out the other side. Their firing distance seems completely arbitrary other than the fact that holding right is a good thing.

holding right and jumping i guess? they also seem to tilt completely at random, a lot of the time they just shoot you straight forward. can't believe we waited 80 days for this tbh.
