'Broken Language' turning up was wonderful for me. Until then it had been a bunch of tracks I loved and was happy to hear again pleased that they placed and then along came something that was new to me and i was like "damn". It is so so good!

Yay for Heltah Skeltah! With that song and album, I've always loved how it's impossible pigeonhole them. They're too hardcore to be backpackers, but also too ironic and self-conscious to be gangsta rappers; it's just a constant flow of all sorts of subjects and signifiers with no discrimination. Such an idiosyncratic, fully-fleshed, well-delivered debut.

Please at the equality with which 80s and 90s is being repped for so far (sorry 00s!).
