nanny software? they aren't even nasty.

I'm truly sorry for all your job issues. Those are a huge suck. Everyone in my family is currently looking for work but me. Meanwhile I have enough for two people.

Feeling a bit crap today and am not wanting it. Nor all the self-analyzation that goes along with feeling crap. fuck it.

I am getting a haircut when I get home, then I may decamp to the pub for a bit. And maybe a bit more.

Jesus, employment fun for everyone. I hope you all end up in jobs that have the workload of mine combined with the perks of Mister M's. It is what people deserve.

Tonight I will be finishing the work I didn't do this week, and also watching Californication and 30Rock. I also intend to finish reading HMS Surprise for the second time. I think it is my favourite of the Aubrey Maturin books.

Ms. M, did you go to work today? I thought you were going to stay home. Bless, poor sickness.

accentmonkey, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:15 (sixteen years ago) link

i have to ring a number of people with bad news about their housing situations before five, then I'm going to go home and try not to be an official nasty person for the weekend. this will involve two-person bathing and lie-ins with books on both days, all going well.

darraghmac, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:16 (sixteen years ago) link

But let's not turn this thread into the Watercooler.

Let's not...

I am going to see Ratatouille, take SO out to dinner and have a quiet night. Work = hell at the moment so just want to spend weekend forgetting it really.

kv_nol, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:18 (sixteen years ago) link

Watercooler appears to be dead now anyway, what a shame...

ailsa, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:20 (sixteen years ago) link

Let's not...

Hey! We can do whatever we like!

Also I am going to the theatre twice on Sunday. With my MA! So there.

accentmonkey, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:20 (sixteen years ago) link

Wipe that smirk off your face, ailsa.

That's a nice thing to do with your Management Accountant.

Ms. M, did you go to work today? I thought you were going to stay home. Bless, poor sickness.

Oh I am at home. with a *ton* of work to do and a kitten that won't stop running around like a freak, gnawing on me with her needle teeth.

Yeah I'm just feeling ill, physically and mentally, and could pin it on a number of reasons: medicine, weeks of unrelenting workload, and the second anniversary of my grandmother's death. *sigh* But it doesn't really matter. Feeling crap is feeling crap and I need to get over it.

Hang in there Ms M! Hopefully good times will start again asap.

That's a nice thing to do with your Management Accountant.

I am playing snooker and getting drunked. Tomorrow I have a wee birthday party thing for my 1 year old niece - hopefully with some time out to watch Scotland.

OMG talking TV I meant to mention: I watched Question Time last night then cba with Andrew Neil so I had a wee flick around the channels and Ch5 totally had close up shots FROM THE INSIDE OF A VAGINA of a penis moving in and out. This was apparently "sex education". They even had internal cum shot. "Later in the series we will be exploring other positions" zomgzomg

onimo, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:23 (sixteen years ago) link

In the pub last night we mentioned 30 Rock and someone just announced deadpan in the middle of the free for all:

"next week... 29 rocks"

and I found this so funny that I actually cried and got a tummy pain.

ANYWAY I don't like the look of Ratty Tooey - I mean, it's a RAT, in the KITCHEN, I can't get over that!

xpost OMG ONIMO WTF!!!!

Sarah, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:25 (sixteen years ago) link

Found it: "A Girl's Guide to 21st Century Sex"

I'm fairly sure there will be torrents around for those in need of a wank education.

onimo, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:26 (sixteen years ago) link

MA = Management Accountant (amongst other acronyms)

THIS ISN'T JORDAN

I have seen a similar documentary. They claimed it was the first time they filmed orgasms inside. When they woman the uterine contractions dipped in her cervix into the pool of semen there. Biological cause to get your lady off second!

Misery, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:26 (sixteen years ago) link

Sorry? Blame catholic upbringing but I didn't understand.

"Oh yeah it's nothing. Once, twice, simple as blinking. You want a challenge? 15. 15. That's it right there, do that and you could be me. Onimo. The champ of cervical cramp."

kv_nol, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:30 (sixteen years ago) link

It made a case for missionary being the best position for conception with gravity and cervixes (sp?) and pools of semen but by then I was wishing I'd watched Michael Portillo flirting with Dianne Abbot (words I thought I'd never say/type).

Has the watercooler died? Why's that? (Seriously, not meanly.)

*sigh* But it doesn't really matter. Feeling crap is feeling crap and I need to get over it.

If it is useful to wallow for a day, then you should do that. You can pick yourself up tomorrow.

accentmonkey, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:38 (sixteen years ago) link

Kate isn't around, so it's just Kerr talking to himself. Don't know where the rest of them have gone.

ailsa, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:40 (sixteen years ago) link

wallowing is usually less than useful for me. It becomes like a tar pit.

Besides I seriously have a lot of work to do. Two sites that have finally been cleared for take off on Monday, a filthy kitchen, and some cats outside to wrangle medicine into.

Why am I still on ILx?

I think most convo threads on ILx find their eventual demise. *sniff*

Aw, he misses her. Funny it always seemed like Kate talking to herself. I didn't really keep up with it though.

I bet no-one will be having tea tonight that features tzatziki! Or mayonnaise!! HAHAHAHA. MAN!

Sarah, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:55 (sixteen years ago) link

Actually I just checked the watercooler and last post was Forest Pines talking about railways. Kate hasn't posted for over a month, last seen heading to a JAMC concert.

SAM DO SOME WORK THEN YOU CAN REWARD YOURSELF WITH CAKE AND BEER WHEN YOU GET HOME :-)

Hmm. Perhaps some salty gruel with extra gelatin.

Okay, this has reached a LEVEL. I am going back to work.

accentmonkey, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:57 (sixteen years ago) link

I am home, ailsa! (also it's not even 9. too early to be thinking about beer)

Sorry the semen wasn't really on my mind as much as the crippling lethargy and kitten jaws.

Misery, Friday, 12 October 2007 13:58 (sixteen years ago) link

I forgot about time differences meant work hard and then you can relax into the weekend knowing you've done your work.
