Just wanted to say, in this thread, that the Follakzoid ep on Sacred Bones is pretty great. Neu! and stuff.

I loved Pulse Emitter's Spiritual Vistas but his new one (Forest, Mountain, Valley) on Tranquility Tapes is something else...

Yeah, the new pulse emitter tape is really something. Was listening to an older cd-r and it was pleasant but the difference between that an the newer material is pretty night and day. Excess fat has been trimmed, the tempos have slowed, and it all just feels much less improvised and I couldn't be happier. Every sound just where it should be.

not 2011 but the Riley-isms of Le Révélateur are hitting my psychedelic sweet-spot at the moment.

Their debut didn't ring my bell as much as I thought it would, but still pretty good.

yeah didn't the clean play at the free butt for 4 quid just last year? whats gone wrong?

oh hang on. wrong end of the stick.

You're right though, the prices have gone slightly daft too. Last time I saw Bardo Pond here, there was only a handful of folks. Guessing it might be less this time what with the Finnish competition. Have no idea what sort of a following they have in the UK these days though.

Circle is the obvious choice there IMO. Not really a tough decision at all.

Bardo Pons was completely amazing live last time I saw them, unfortunately that was 1999, so I can't speak as to the last ten years.
Speaking of stuff that's really old, here's The Roswell Incident (me and Elvis Telecom, live samples from Mr. Mackro and a couple guests.)

Recorded in 1996. There may be some more forthcoming. Mostly put this up on as a lark.
No, I haven't been around in awhile. I'll see if I can fix that.

"Bardo Pons" Heh. That might me a mislogism worth keeping.

Seen Bardo Pond a ton of times, only been less than amazing once.

Missed all the Bardo Pond and Roswell talk but yes to all of it. And Primordial as well.

And since Ned has mentioned it, the lost TRANSANTARCTIC by The Roswell Incident was just posted to their bandcamp page. Snag it while it's free. Link's just a couple entries above.

This new Locrian record - is the first song supposed to be 8 minutes of fierce hiss or is it just a Spotify glitch?
― Lars and the Lulu Girl (NickB), Tuesday, 8 November 2011 11:43 (twelve years ago) link
Must be a Spotify fail. There's a lot of intentional hiss on the other three tracks but not much on the first one. Just lots of guitar, drums and chanting, suitable to conjure the deity of your choice.

did anyone start a new thread for the new year? Because Austin Psychfest lineup is a corker this year (as always).
