shants and ranks b2b over 'caution' with the "back to the government's plight" vs "at rex in a drop top lex" complementary hype lyrics (how did ranks know the tune would have car horns right after?) is pretty much like a supercomputer calculating the entirety of the quik & kurupt blackout album in nanoseconds

That's one of my absolute favourite Ranking chants. Especially "It's all from a text, that she got from her girlfriend (apparently an ex)..."

Okay that 20th April mix is off the hook, ropey Tyler remix notwithstanding. Full disclosure - I skipped right to the second hour. As usual its the clattery carnival bangers that really work for me, and there seem to be more of them. The sense of escalating momentum is so enjoyable as whole that I've minimal interest in seeking out individual MP3s of most of this stuff.

the second hour of that marcus nasty set is just pure vibes - love the camaraderie - plus shantie on crunk vip is waaooow!

Marcus ladymix is excellent - although the Adele remix is a bit ropey that's largely because that song just rhythmically goes against the grain of funky. Somewhat annoyingly the tune I like best is the unidentified one with the harmonies after 'Nobody' and the mix gets really good after that point.

On paper that Paul Woolford mix of T. Williams feels it should be the wrong kind of ravey but context it's weirdly refreshing, like suddenly being doused with squelchy noises.

Fairly impressed by this. rtc I think I remember you saying that with the way the scene was heading in general, Naughty's tunes might no longer mix well with everything else out there. I can def see that with some of his productions on this, and also I guess the slightly trancey synths on some of his tunes might not be up everyone's street (on paper they're not really up mine). But hearing his style of tunes back to back like this is quite seductive for me, he seems like a producer that's full of ideas and that really communicates when you're listening.
