You guys complaining about Winehouse's inclusion DO realize that the album is making MOST major American critics top ten lists? I understand you got it first, but our part of the world is just now grokking; it's 2007 to us.

Here I was all ready to lay into Chris in Belfast as a straight-up indie hipster with a Pitchfork fetish and an NME subscription when I noticed he's the only other guy on ILM who appears to have heard (and thus loved) the new Chrome Hoof record. For that and that alone I take it all back. :D

This may be nitpicking, but Pharoahe Monch is written with an "oa", not "Pharaohe". The name is written correctly in the album nominations, but incorrectly in the track noms.

The most correct title for the Justice album is †.

A few small corrections on my nominations:

Atavist's album is called: "II (Ruined)"

...and further down:

Moonsorrow's album: "Viides luku - Hävitetty"

daavid, refer to the amended list which is linked to a few posts above yours. I believe it has all your noms included.

Lindstrom's The Contemporary Fix is definitely 2006, as a single and album track. I don't even think there's a US rerelease to make it qualify!

One more correction/potential confusion-

Those Map of Africa tracks are two separate tracks
Map of Africa AND Ely Cathedral

surely there are going to be so many nominations in this forthcoming poll that the results are going to be fairly meaningless. there will be a smattering of votes for the usual suspects (in rainbows, kala, sound of silver etc...) and a load of individual votes for the likes of alasdair roberts (from me!).

and anyway, 2007 lists are so last year.

I do a search and replace to get rid of leading "The"s, so once in a while a necessary one might be removed and not replaced manually by me.

you know, I love that Apples In Stereo album, but I could swear it came out in December 2006... I mean it's cool, whatever. An album that comes out in December (whether I am correct about this or not) arguably deserves the carry-over.
