Mostly because of the severely gross overreaction of our friend, who was a good foot taller than her, drunk, and screaming threatening shit in her face; basically I was trying to keep the police from getting involved.

it seems like a weird instance of racism though - like, perhaps subconscious? I mean if I were with *any* group of people and some of them were clearly getting worse service than others, I can't imagine they'dd take it quietly, and you would think a waitress would know that and save her purposely-poor-service for when two black people sit down at their own table.

I don't think it was that overtly intentional; I think because of the way we were seated (all of us at a series of two-person tables pushed together with my wife and me on the end) I think she managed to get it into her head that somehow we possibly couldn't all be part of the same party, even though our tables were together and we were all in suits/dresses.

I didn't really get angry until the second round of drinks came out and our first hadn't even arrived; by that point it was made clear to her that we were all together and we had flagged her down and made her put in our order with the second round, so there was no reason for them not to all come out together.

The one-two combination of being made to feel invisible combined with getting yelled at from someone outside of the situation when I was talking to the manager is what pushed me over the edge.

I think that if you go to restaurants with any frequency and you have an ounce of compassion in you you'll give the server the benefit of the doubt the first time (or two). But to say that bad service is some kind of myth or thing that only touchy idiots experience is weirdly naive. If the service is bad, I usually feed awkward about mentioning anything unless it's particularly egregious, but going straight to Yelp with a scathing, yet humorous review is obvious pass/agg bullshit and those people are cunts of the highest order. I've gotten up and left a place for bad service before, and I've seen bad get REALLY bad, but one should always be gentle at first. I've firmly believed working in the service industry or restaurant industry should be mandatory like the Israeli Army - it changes your perspective.

I ordered a hybird-sized (small) and a freebird-sized (regular) burrito, both with exactly the same ingredients. To my dismay, they were both the same exact size when received. The freebird burrito did not look anything like the sample displayed, and when inquired, the explanation received was that both start with the same portions and vary with the toppings chosen. That logic is bogus, erroneous and does not account for proportionality. I ate my burrito with disdain and vow never to return.

Ok I'll admit my rating is biased due to me spending nearly every summer of my childhood here - before it was Six Flags (Wild World then Adventure World). Maybe I love it here because it reminds me of the good ole days growing up and coming here with cousins and family (back when there was only one real coaster).

To me, the main attraction has always been the water rides. On a hot summer day you can have a lot of fun on the wet rides. The dry rides are pretty sub par but not too bad in my biased opinion.

OK YES, it has become super hellafied hood ghetto fabulous (especially since the train/buses started servicing that area). What can you expect? You have the hoods of DC, Baltimore and PG streaming into this park, creating the perfect storm of str8 hood. But honestly the ghetto folk are just loud, do loud people scare you? I've never ever had a problem there and never have felt unsafe (and I have come here with women and children). If there's ever any beef, it's always inter-thug beef and is settled in the parking lot, so not to worry you'll be just fine.

You are also likely to see many skinny hood black men with large ghetto White women with "baby girl" tatted on the "small" of their chunky back. That's surely a reason to visit right?

just so you don't think I'm a racist: in chinese culture, chicken skin has the (strong) connotation of being very fatty, so much so that it's common among Chinese people to never eat the chicken skin. I have, chatting with my parents, divided up my whole family into those who like to eat chicken skin (and by association other fatty things like pork belly, egg yolks) and those who don't. to single that out as part of your name on a food review website to me screams "I AM CHINESE."
