Wilter, Suzy Spew, Abbott (and whoever else wants to add a picture or two): I'll definitely do these tomorrow night. Tonight I'm already stumbling into the corners of coffee tables and complaining about the general layout of the living room. The timing is all wrong.

Ain't no double-deuce. It's two singles, that is. The exchange rate's different.

this thread has definitely inspired me to invest in some software to be used for strictly frivolous purposes

That reminds me of the optical illusion of the floating sausage you made with two fingers when you were a kid...

I certainly did not make that!

I know what you're talking about. What about that clasped fingers thing, though? It was the opposite of sausage illusion, so to speak

I hope these pictures are still visible for everyone else. I just did a google search for my full name and the first result was my photobucket album, which was previously public. I set it to private, so hopefully that'll fix that.

Z S doesn't PS CS3 suck for shape tweens?

libcrypt, Monday, 7 April 2008 17:57 (sixteen years ago) link

I dunno, I'm using CS2 version 9. Is CS2 even worse for shape tweens than CS3? Also, I'm not sure what a shape tween is. :)

Z S, Monday, 7 April 2008 23:47 (sixteen years ago) link

Shape tween is like when you have an object in frame 1 and then in frame 2 you make it 2x the size. If you want the object to gradually get larger you insert a few frames with a "shape tween". It seems that PS has decent motion tweening, but I can't figure out how to do automatic shape tweens without creating each frame by hand. Also, doing this frame-by-frame and toggling layer visibility is the suck.

libcrypt, Tuesday, 8 April 2008 17:28 (sixteen years ago) link

oooh, I see. Yeah, the way I've been changing the shape of objects is just by copying and pasting them into new layers, and then free transforming them into whatever. It is a bit tedious. Also, I tend to shy away from doing that because every new layer and new frame means that the file size will be larger at the end, and that means when you save it you have to reduce the image quality even more to get it down to a decent size.
