nina all they way. cos she's got a powerful voice, and you never know what she's going to do next.
she's nuttier than bjork. she's the great female acid casualty auteur. she could kick syd barret's ass, but she wouldn't cos she's all about the cosmic peace and love. she's probably one of the few people who could hold a conversation with lee perry.
she's released a lot of cheesy filler, but i've never heard any lene lovitch that comes near nina at her best.
i've never heard any dax, i'll have to check out this "jesus egg"...
and yeah, i think galas is kind of in a different category.

You were? I mean, I would definitely say that, but I don't recall the conversation!

Danielle Dax wins this easily b/c "we buy a hammer for daddy" and "jesus egg that wept" are so great, plus she pwned carcass w/thee cover ov "pop-eyes", plus all her albums, and many of her songs have this kind of richly perverse vibe abt them that is kind of thrilling & scary, which rocks. Plus, her compilation album is called something like "the thwarted pop career of danielle dax", I guess there's also this whole odd humour about her whole act, which I find tremendously appealing.

I kind of like the idea of Diamanda Galas, and I always enjoy reading interviews w/her, but a little bit of her musick goes a long way for me.

Nina Hagen's music, I don't really care foir much.

The original question shd perhaps have included Lydia Lunch. Lydia might have won this just for "Queen of Siam".

I did a quick search for Danielle Dax on teh int4rw3b, it seems she's a garden designer now!! Like Kim Wilde? Blimey...

Or her spoken word CDs. Wow. Uncensored Oral Fixation... wonderfully stress-inducing. Anything that starts with the words "...Dear...Whores..."
Damn.

Anyhow...
to finish off this thread:
Dax, Hagen, Galas...Search and Destroy (so I know what tracks to hunt for the next time on WinMX.)

Ah Danielle. Best thing about the last World Dom gig I saw (band dies onstage) was that she smiled at my mate.

What's this "pwn" thing by the way? Pash says it a lot.
