Khan's done his feller in two. No idea if he looked good in so doing.

Man, Rawling and McKenzie are wearing some awkward specs there.

Re: Pascal's entourage - does Montreal still have a baseball team? I thought the Expos got shut down?

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 22:58 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch looks focused as hell.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:00 (fifteen years ago) link

First round to Pascal tho I reckon.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:08 (fifteen years ago) link

Oh, this looks like it's gonna be good. Froch edges it for me, but he's looking nervy. Pascal has, I think, taken to this atmosphere better than him.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:09 (fifteen years ago) link

Don't go asking if people can become the next Davey Hilton. No-one wants that.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:11 (fifteen years ago) link

Couldn't call that round. Don't think this is going the distance.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:12 (fifteen years ago) link

And a quality ending to that round, probably give it Pascal, but I think Froch is bedding in a bit.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:13 (fifteen years ago) link

This is making up for me being too tight to pay for De La Hoya-Pacquiao

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:15 (fifteen years ago) link

Good fight this

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:16 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch takes the 3rd maybe.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:16 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch takes that one, I think he's landing harder than Pascal.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:17 (fifteen years ago) link

lol one of the corners has HOOTERS on it

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:19 (fifteen years ago) link

Believe this is what Dom would refer to as a slobberknocker.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:21 (fifteen years ago) link

And Pascal gets that round back, HELL of a last minute there, and you could tell Froch was rattled at the end. Back and forth all over the place, this fight, marvellous.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:21 (fifteen years ago) link

If I had a gun at my head and I had to put money on this right now, I think I'd bet Pascal.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:22 (fifteen years ago) link

me too

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:24 (fifteen years ago) link

I would too. That's based on this past minute alone, though...

AND THEY'RE GOING AT IT AFTER THE BELL well Pascal is, anyhow. I'm struggling to see this going beyond eight, really.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:25 (fifteen years ago) link

Surely the ref's got to do something about this after the bell stuff. That was mostly a canny round from Froch but he's still got to do something special now I think.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:25 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch is looking tired already, Pascal looks like he's only just started. Froch needs a knockout soon or I think he's gone. Cracking fight.

slag move (onimo), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:26 (fifteen years ago) link

bit nasty from pascal there

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:26 (fifteen years ago) link

I'm sure there's an even more obvious candidate to be Croydon's greatest-ever sportsperson than Duke McKenzie, but I can't remember who.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:27 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch has his clearest win thus far. Surprised ref's not told Pascal to keep his head up yet.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:29 (fifteen years ago) link

Roy Hodgson xpost

slag move (onimo), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:30 (fifteen years ago) link

Pascal's eyes are swelling a bit.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:30 (fifteen years ago) link

Hodgson'd be greatest-ever coach, but he was never much of a player, was he?

Anyway, nuffa this talk, Pascal's suddenly the one running out of gas, and Froch has two rounds on the spin.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:33 (fifteen years ago) link

Pascal hasn't throw a punch since i said how fresh he looked.

slag move (onimo), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:33 (fifteen years ago) link

Yeah it's probably Froch's to lose now.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:33 (fifteen years ago) link

If Froch just uses his jab and stays out of trouble (ie not going toe to toe) he can win this on points.

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:33 (fifteen years ago) link

moderately successful hahaha

He was a moderately successful player with Crystal Palace (where he failed to break into the first team) followed by several years in non-league football with Tonbridge, Gravesend and Northfleet and Maidstone United (where he was assistant coach),

slag move (onimo), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:34 (fifteen years ago) link

jim come on aim

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:35 (fifteen years ago) link

I'm coming on later after this. Haven't got AIM on this puter.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:37 (fifteen years ago) link

Fuck's sake Froch, please don't be a bleeder.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:38 (fifteen years ago) link

(for WBS) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C.B._Fry

slag move (onimo), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:39 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch really should've finished him by now.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:41 (fifteen years ago) link

Oh, it's kicked back into life - Pascal was REALLY hurt by that combo 20 seconds from the end, Froch took that round I think by virtue of that.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:41 (fifteen years ago) link

'k, I'll give you that one.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:43 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch for me on that one too.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:44 (fifteen years ago) link

2 to go, the fact that they've both stayed upright this long is pretty impressive.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:45 (fifteen years ago) link

So on ITV's cards, Pascal needs the knockout now.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:45 (fifteen years ago) link

Aye Pascal is reduced to throwing haymakers in hope rather than expectation. Still dangerous all the same.

slag move (onimo), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:45 (fifteen years ago) link

hey william did j ross go home empty handed?

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:46 (fifteen years ago) link

Sort of, except I think he was already at home. Not as comedy entertaining as Alan Carr, apparently.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:47 (fifteen years ago) link

And they've made it to round twelve! How?

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:49 (fifteen years ago) link

Froch's mum looks like she'd be pretty handy, too.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:51 (fifteen years ago) link

terrific fight, cant believe it went the distance. Reckon froch dominated the 2nd half of the fight and won by 3 or 4 rounds. But both looked like world champions.

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Must be Froch, surely. Don't think he'd fancy a re-match.

Me and Ruth Lorenzo, Rollin' in the Benzo (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:53 (fifteen years ago) link

Best fight in a long long time. Awesome it was on ITV so everyone can see it.

Pfunkboy Formerly Known As... (Herman G. Neuname), Saturday, 6 December 2008 23:53 (fifteen years ago) link

Heckuva fight, no idea how to score that last round, but I think Froch's later rounds were that much better that he must have it. Surely there'll be a rematch, though. (Probably on Setanta)
