With a murderous despot like Lukashenko in charge I’d like to imagine Belarus would be fertile ground for punk – Britain under Callaghan/Wilson was sweetness and light in comparison. Sadly I expect they sound like a collection of Green Day b-sides.

otlichnogo menas "high qulity, excellecnt, great". maybe itsl ike "high-grade" here osr something. i remember epople talking about this banmd but i never saw em. im not really down with russian drug vocab so i am missing something, or maybe it refers to something totally differernt. ussian bands have very esoteric names eg the Yekataringburg band "Agata Kristi"!!!! or one of the best venues in Moscow is called "the chinese pilot Dzhao-da"!??!

"babyalive" really has incredibly sophisticated taste for a sixteen year old girl.

i like the fact that radio stations you listen to go into your listening history, making those artists likely to come up on your own radio station.

my radio station is already the best thing i've ever heard, and it keeps getting better!

I listened to Modest Mouse recently, too! Just to see if it was as bad as I remember it being. Some songs were pretty okay -- "Float On" is good, even if I'm sick of it now; I kinda like "Ocean Breathes Salty" -- but it really loses the plot in the second half, right when that terrible Tom Waits shit and Dixieland horns start surfacing.
