The Supremes - It Makes No Difference Now
The Supremes - How Time Slips Away (This may have had Adantes assist them)

They covered country songs earlier in their career and this was when Diana was much rawer and "soulful." Their voices have this interesting clash as if they are struggling with sharing the spotlight (as much like they did in real life). It's also strange how soul musicians and country musicians covered each other a lot during this time.

Slum/Parsley Sound - Twilight Mushrooms (kind of an awkward harmony, but something about it I really like)

Box of Rain - Grateful Dead

it took me a lot of listens to realize that they sometimes trade lead and harmony parts midway through a line. I'm a sucker for this trick, although I can't think of another example off the top of my head.

10 months pass...

Thank you for this thread's existence. I'm such a sucker for these. Many great suggestions, already; I'll just add three:

Fleetwood Mac, "Second Hand News". When Stevie raises her voice over Lindsey's on the line "I've been tossed around enough"... good lord ...

X - "We're Desperate". Just the harmony on "some people give me the creeps" (and later, "our whole fucking life is a wreck!") can make my day.

Beatles - "Because". Because.

I always come back to "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party" when thinking of these. That chorus is just so great, with that unexpected perfect fifth on the word "love"
