Things we've figured out (for first-timers)

* Your upload isn't working if the metadata doesn't arrange itself in the title/artist/album order based on the id3 tag in your mp3. Also, you should see a gray band appear on the record that will approximate the song's running time. If neither of these things happen, delete and try your upload again.

* Sometimes the system will hang on an upload. If it doesn't finish within a reasonable amount of time, delete it and try again.

* It's not cool to delete other people's tracks unless it's by a majority rule. Please, if possible, try to keep the songs a reasonable length. Anything over the 6-7 minute range is pushing it.

* Don't be afraid to be uncool. We want to hear it all.

I don't think that's the case. I just think the guy's server keeps getting overloaded.

It's really great for the one or two hour shifts in which it works, but then it goes down for 20 or 30 (or 60) minutes before it comes up again.

Do you have to have your music catalogued in a library using iTunes to use that one? Because I certainly don't.

This sounds awesome, but I'm stuck at work for the moment.

This works really great so far...it isn't buggy at all, but maybe slightly less charming. That it works is really its most important feature though.

So, do you have to have Itunes on your computer to get this Mixapp thing to work? I'm not installing Itunes just because of that.

I'm currently just jamming songs from my own mixes in Listening Room right now.

Oh, when I try to log in to Mixapp with my Facebook username, it wants to get access to my FB profile and personal information. Fuck that shit, isn't there any way to get in there without FB being involved?

Not yet. They claim to be working on other ways.

net admins here have blocked any FB access so suspect i am not going to be able to drop into Mixapp if there is a connection.

Listening Room works just fine when it's working. I spent more time on Mixapp last night with other friends after the ILM folded and it's actually just as buggy as LR.
