Save "Tie A Yellow Ribbon," I like Avalanche's repertoire. Would see this band!

You can hear the whole song here - http://thankscity.com/jams/taco/27_Track_27.m4a

Pretty decent!

Kind of want to see the movie based on that trailer.

Wow! Thx dudes, this is a jam.

Haha... got about 2 minutes into that song (which is kinda cool) when suddenly had one of those weird realizations that I'd somehow gone from checking airplane tickets to listening to Gritz in the span of about 5 minutes. wtf internet

Lolled hard enough at Mildstone to Google them. The three on the right are brothers.

Hardcore Bangage (Dan Peterson), Wednesday, 11 May 2011 22:13 (twelve years ago) link

re: tumbleweed

was it common in the 70s for bands to have both a manager and a warthole?

m0stlyClean, Thursday, 12 May 2011 03:42 (twelve years ago) link

hmmm, I rather like the name Mildstone. They sound like they'd drop some laid back grooves.

Moodles, Thursday, 12 May 2011 13:54 (twelve years ago) link

Haghill looks like they could throw down some Crazy Horse jams.

xpost -- They would, only Mr. Shirtless would try and push his chest into your face while doing so.

legendary TUFA

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 3 June 2011 22:40 (twelve years ago) link

in high school a friend of my brother's had a 'zine called "vartufa" - and one day by pure coincidence he came across a 7" single recorded by the above band (TUFA) and proceeded to dedicate subsequene issues of the 'zine to an exhaustively detailed fictional "history" of the band (which he later turned into a feature length film).

and guess what, today most of it is on ye internets

This thread brings me more joy than any on ILM. May it never die.

Tantrum had a couple LPs, and I still own both. Saw them play a bar gig, and they were really good in a Heart/Benatar/1994 (Karen Lawrence) kinda way.
